LIMELIGHTACCESS

Bahia Del Duque, Tenerife

June 12th 2012

  • We arrived at Bahia Del Duque on Saturday, flight was with Ryanair but you can also fly with Monarch or Easyjet to Tenerife direct from most UK airports.  We recommend you sit on the left to get the best view of Tenerife as you fly in!  Bahia Del Duque also has it’s own helipad if you are feeling flush!

We were met by staff at the entrance dressed in traditional Tenerifian outfits who brought us through to reception.  Our room was in the main part of the resort overlooking the 3 pools and looking out to sea.  You can also stay in Casas Ducales or Las Villas which is a more exclusive part of the resort.  Each villa has its own small plunge pool and there is a private pool accessible only by guests in this area.

If you want privacy this is a great option for our members and we know that a number of high profile people have stayed at this resort!

The spa was built in 2008 and includes a 35 m outdoor Thalassotherapy pool, 20 treatment rooms and 5 cabanas where you can chill.  They can also help you with your healthy eating and each restaurant menu gives an indication of which meals fit with this healthy eating program.

This resort is very child friendly with shallow pools, entertainment in the form of a regular disco each night where all the kids get to dance which is also very entertaining for the adults!

There is  adult entertainment every night with live music, flamenco dancers etc.  There are 19 restaurants and bars so plenty to chose from. The beach is imported sand as all the beaches in Tenerife are black due to it being a volcanic island.  We would recommend you stay within the resort as it feels much more exclusive!

You can also go to the strip at neighbouring Costa Adeje or a short cab ride to Playa De Las Americas if you want some livelier nightlife.  We think Playa de Las Americas is probably slightly better.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay here, service was great from start to finish, food was fresh and lovely and relaxation was definitely the name of the game!  Also, if you like your red wine, try Tenerife home grown wine Vina Norte!

We are delighted to have this hotel as part of our collection as it’s within such easy reach of the UK and is great for year round sun.  We know our members will be well looked after too! Take a look at their page for more information, Bahia Del Duque or their official website.

    Happy Travelling!

    Nadine :)
